Connect Claude or Claude Code

AiNecto's remote MCP URL is:

https://ainecto.com/mcp

Both Claude and Claude Code connect to AiNecto through MCP. Add the remote MCP connector in Claude. For Claude Code, use the AiNecto CLI when npm is available, or add the server directly with Claude Code.

Connect from Claude

Individual Free, Pro, or Max plans

  1. Open Customize → Connectors.
  2. Select + Add → Add custom connector.
  3. Enter AiNecto as the name.
  4. Enter https://ainecto.com/mcp as the remote MCP URL.
  5. Review the detected authentication settings.
  6. If OAuth client options appear, prefer Use Claude's published identity.
  7. Select Add, then sign in with your AiNecto account.
  8. In a conversation, open + → Connectors and enable AiNecto.

Free accounts may have a limit on the number of custom connectors.

Team or Enterprise

An Owner or Primary Owner first opens Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web and adds the same name and URL. Organization policy may also allow another authorized custom role.

After the connector is available to the organization, each member opens Customize → Connectors, finds AiNecto, selects Connect, and authenticates with their own account.

Connect Claude Code

Automatic setup with the AiNecto CLI

If the environment can run Node.js and npm, run:

npx -y ainecto@latest setup

A browser opens if AiNecto authentication is required. Setup detects Claude Code, adds AiNecto at the user scope, and verifies the connection. Run it once per device.

Add AiNecto directly in Claude Code

If you do not use the AiNecto CLI, run:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user ainecto https://ainecto.com/mcp

Check the registration:

claude mcp list

Inside Claude Code, use the following command to inspect the connection and complete browser authentication:

/mcp

--scope user is the same scope setup uses — AiNecto is available in every folder on this computer. Use --scope project only for a shared .mcp.json in the repository, and never put credentials in it. See Connect the Agent You Already Use.

Verify the connection

Show me the AiNecto workspaces and projects I can access.

If the expected list appears, the connection works. If it differs, check the authenticated AiNecto account and sharing permissions.

First task

Find and read the Project Context Markdown document in [project name].

After the read succeeds, return to Getting Started. If the connection fails, go to CLI and Connection Troubleshooting.
