Getting Started with AiNecto

AiNecto is shared project memory that lets people and AI Agents continue working with the same project materials, decisions, and results.

In this guide, you will connect the Agent you already use, create a real project in the correct workspace, write its first Markdown source-of-truth document, and confirm that a new session can use that memory.

Build your first project memory in 10 minutes

  1. Connect the Agent you already use.
  2. Check the workspaces and projects you can access.
  3. Create a real work project in the correct workspace.
  4. Create the first Markdown source-of-truth document at the project root.
  5. Create a folder and move the existing Markdown document into it.
  6. Start a new session, find the document again, and continue the work.
  7. Review the result and update the source-of-truth document.

1. Connect your Agent

Choose the guide for your environment:

Follow the procedure for the environment you use.

2. Confirm the connection and work boundary

Show me the AiNecto workspaces and projects I can access. List only their names and descriptions. Do not select or change anything.

If the list appears, the connection works. When several workspaces or projects have similar names, confirm the work boundary first.

Show me the projects in [workspace name].

If an expected project is missing, check the connected account, workspace, and access permissions.

3. Create a real project

Start with a small piece of real work that can produce a result this week.

Create a project named [work name] in [workspace name].

If you have only one workspace and the destination is unambiguous, you can say:

Create a project named [work name].

After creation, confirm the workspace, project name, and description.

4. Create the first Markdown source of truth

The first document does not need to describe everything. It should contain the current context needed for the next action.

Create a Markdown document named Project Context in this project.

Include the project goal, target users, current scope, source materials and evidence, confirmed decisions, open questions, current result, next actions, and last review date. Do not guess missing information; record it as an open question.

Open the saved document in the web app and confirm its content and location.

5. Create a folder and move the existing document

Create a folder named 00 Context and Decisions, then move the Project Context document into it.

Confirm that the Agent moved the existing document instead of duplicating it. You do not need a large folder structure on day one.

Add structure only as it becomes useful:

  • 00 Context and Decisions
  • 10 Work in Progress
  • 20 Review Results
  • 30 Specialized Deliverables
  • 90 References

6. Read the project memory from a new session

Start a new Agent session without copying the previous conversation.

In [workspace name], find and read the Project Context document in [project name]. Summarize the current goal, confirmed decisions, open questions, and next actions separately. Do not infer anything that is not in the document.

If the correct document was read, request a real next action.

Complete [task name] from the next actions in Project Context. Read the related materials first and separate the result from any new questions. Do not change the document yet; show me a draft for review.

7. Review and save

Check the goal and scope, facts versus assumptions, conflicts with earlier decisions, new questions, and next actions.

Apply the reviewed result to the Project Context document.

After saving, confirm that the Agent reports which document changed and summarizes the main changes. Review the version and recent activity when needed.

8. Add collaborators when needed

  • Add people who will work across several projects to the workspace in the web app.
  • Add people who will work on one specific initiative to that project.
  • Share a folder or document when someone only needs to review selected materials.

Adding people to a workspace or project needs a Team plan. Change roles and remove access in the AiNecto web app; your connected Agent can invite people to a project when you ask — see Connect the Agent You Already Use. An Agent works within permissions that have already been granted.

You are ready

  • The Agent connection works.
  • You confirmed the workspace and project boundary.
  • You created a real project and its first Markdown document.
  • You moved the existing document into a folder.
  • A new session found and read the source-of-truth document.
  • The Agent performed a real next action.
  • You reviewed the result and saved it back to the same document.

Next, go to Find and Read Project Context to learn how to select the correct context before starting work.
