Ainecto has three plan tiers. The free tier covers individual exploration; the paid tiers unlock team collaboration, AI features, and the MCP integration that makes Ainecto's main value proposition possible.

What's gated
A few features will return a "plan upgrade required" error on the free tier:
- Table groups — Creating a group requires a paid plan
- Saved filters — Same
- MCP server — Free tier accounts cannot connect AI clients via MCP
- AI features — Natural Language → ERD, AI Chat, Title Suggestion are disabled on free
- Real-time collaboration — Free tier sees changes only on refresh
- Individual sharing — Public link works on free, but per-user permissions need a paid plan
AI Credits
AI features run on a credit budget. Each tier has a monthly allowance that resets on the first of the month:
- Natural Language → ERD: ~1 credit per generation
- AI Chat: variable (depends on message length)
- Title Suggestion: small fixed cost
You can see your current balance in account settings. If you run out, you can:
- Wait for the monthly reset
- Top up with a one-time credit pack
- Upgrade to a higher tier
Free tier has no AI credits — those features are entirely unavailable until you upgrade.
Version history retention

When you reach the limit, oldest snapshots are removed first. Manual and auto snapshots count toward the same limit.
Billing
Ainecto bills through PayPal. After upgrading:
- The subscription renews monthly or yearly (your choice)
- You can cancel at any time from account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- A 7-day grace period applies to failed payments before downgrading
Switching plans
Upgrading: Effective immediately. Pro-rated for the remainder of the current period.
Downgrading: Effective at the next renewal. After downgrade:
- Diagrams over the new limit become read-only (you can still export them)
- Excess version snapshots are eventually purged
- Group / filter / MCP / AI features stop working
- Existing public share links continue to work
- Existing per-user permissions stop being enforced (everyone is read-only or owner)
You won't lose any data — features just become locked until you upgrade again.
Enterprise
Enterprise is for teams that need:
- SSO (SAML / OIDC)
- Audit logs
- Custom AI credit allocation
- Volume sharing / per-team workspaces
- Priority support and SLAs
